EQUINE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS Continued

The contest will be open to all students between the ages of 14-18, as of January 1, 2025, currently enrolled and attending public, private or home school elementary or secondary school in the state of Texas. The contest will include in Round 1, a 5-minute speech on a topic related to the equine industry where contestants are divided into 4 rooms. The top three scores from each room will move on to the final round. The Final Round will consist of twelve contestants, a 5-minute prepared speech followed by three questions from the judges’ panel. Scholarship awards range from $4,000 to $12,000, ribbons will be presented to the top five placing contestants and 1st place will receive a champion buckle. Students will be divided into three age divisions: Junior (ages 8-10), Intermediate (ages 11-13) and Senior (ages 14-18). The contest includes a Written Exam (all participants), Identification Station (all participants), Hands-On Station (top ten contestants in each age group) and Speech (top five contestants in the Senior age division only). Scholarships, buckles and special awards will be awarded to the top five placing students in the Senior age division. Scholarship awards range from $4,000 to $12,000. Buckles and special awards will be presented to the Junior and Intermediate divisions. Contestants will be limited to the first 125 applicants. CONTEST

EQUINE CONTEST HIGH POINT SCHOLARSHIP A $4,000 scholarship will be awarded to the highest placing contestant who competed in BOTH the 2025 Equine I.Q. Contest and the 2025 Equine Public Speaking Challenge. No additional entry needed.
