31 2025 HORSE SHOW general rules and regulations

PROGRAMS $206,000 to be awarded in scholarships

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION Students awarded a scholarship will receive a certificate(s) indicating the amount of the scholarship won. The scholarship will be paid beginning with the first semester the student is enrolled in an accredited degree plan at a college or university. The certificate(s) should be presented to the registrar or financial aid office of the college or university the student chooses to attend. Instructions for redemption are printed on the back of the certificate. Upon verification of the student’s enrollment, the Stock Show will issue a check directly to the student’s college or university. Scholarships are awarded to exhibitors 14-18 years of age. OPEN SENIOR TEXAS QUARTER HORSE YOUTH ASSOCIATION, 4-H AND FFA HORSE JUDGING CONTEST PROGRAM Scholarships will be awarded to members of the top placing team in the Open Senior Texas Quarter Horse Youth Association, 4-H and FFA Horse Judging Contest. Each participating team member will receive a $2,000 scholarship. In addition, the high point individual of the contest will be awarded a scholarship in the amount of $4,000. Youth exhibitors receiving scholarships under the Horse Judging Contest Scholarship Program may receive a maximum of $8,000 in value. In the event a recipient is not eligible to use all of the funds awarded, any remaining funds will return to the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show Equine Scholarship Program. HIGH POINT YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Scholarships in the amount of $30,000 will be available to High Point Youth exhibitors based on the following schedule:

QUARTER HORSE HIGH POINT YOUTH AWARD High Point Youth – $4,000 Reserve High Point Youth – $2,000 PAINT HORSE HIGH POINT YOUTH AWARD High Point Youth – $4,000 Reserve High Point Youth – $2,000 PAINT RANCH HORSE HIGH POINT YOUTH AWARD High Point Youth – $4,000 Reserve High Point Youth – $2,000

PONY OF THE AMERICAS HIGH POINT YOUTH AWARD High Point Youth – $4,000 Reserve High Point Youth – $2,000 PONY OF THE AMERICAS SPEED EVENT HIGH POINT YOUTH AWARD High Point Youth – $4,000 Reserve High Point Youth – $2,000

Youth exhibitors receiving scholarships under the High Point Youth Scholarship Program may receive a maximum of $8,000 in value. In the event that the high point or reserve high point winner is not eligible to use all of the funds awarded, any remaining funds will return to the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show Equine Scholarship Program.
