ENTRIES CLOSE NOVEMBER 15 1. This competition is held under the direct supervision of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show and is approved by the American Miniature Horse Association and the Southwestern Miniature Horse Club for points. 2. Eligibility. All horses must be registered with the American Miniature Horse Association. All horses will be shown and judged in accordance with the rules of the American Miniature Horse Association. A PHOTOCOPY OF EACH HORSE’S REGISTRATION PAPERS (FRONT AND BACK) MUST ACCOMPANY EACH ENTRY. Note: Entries submitted without these papers will not be accepted and will be returned to the exhibitor. This applies to all divisions of the Miniature Horse Show. Entry applications must be filled out completely. Horses must be entered and shown under the name of the owner as recorded with the American Miniature Horse Association at the time of entry. For change of ownership, see General Rule 9, Page 77. 3. Membership. Exhibitors in the Miniature Horse Show must present the following current membership items at the Horse Show Office before receiving their packet and exhibitor number. AMATEUR CLASSES – Amateur membership card. YOUTH CLASSES – Youth membership card. 4. Horses will be measured at designated times posted at the Horse Show Office. Senior stallions must present a Senior Stallion Verification Report when measured. 5. Body clipping is optional. 6. Show Fee. A $60 show fee is required for each horse entered. No additional entry fee is required except Class 58, Liberty Stakes. Late entries must pay a show fee of $80. No entries accepted after December 30. Entries must be submitted on entry applications obtained from the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show or from our website fwssr.com. See Liberty Class for entry fee, all other classes require no additional entry fee. 7. Stall Fee. Refer to General Rule 4, Page 76. 8. Substitutions – Added Classes. Refer to General Rules 9 and 10, Page 77. 9. Arrival and Release. Miniature Horses may arrive on show grounds Wednesday, January 22. No animal will be allowed on the show grounds without proper receipt of entry. Horses will be released after completion of judging. Refer to General Rule 26, Page 79. 10 . Parking Permits. Refer to General Rule 28, Page 79. 11. Grounds Passes . Refer to General Rule 27, Page 79. 12. Judges evaluation cards will be available in the Show Office and may be completed on a voluntary basis. EQUINE I.Q. CONTEST - JANUARY 20, 2020 $40,000 in Scholarships awarded in the Senior Division. Buckles and special awards presented in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Divisions. Limited to the first 125 entries. Open to all students ages 8-18 (three age divisions), currently enrolled and attending public, private or home school in the state of Texas.
