SPECIAL RULES 1. Read General Rules. All entries and awards in this department will be subject to the General Rules and Regulations published in this Premium List and the following Special Rules. 2. Commercial Crossbred Females. Upon arrival, exhibitors must obtain weight cards from Superintendent’s Office for entries in these classes. Exhibitors are responsible for weighing their own gilts and must return weight cards to Superintendents prior to Noon, Saturday, January 25 with the declared weight. Any entry whose weight card is not received by this deadline will be disqualified. Placing gilts will be weighed back. Any gilt that weighs more than 10 lbs. above or below the weight turned in on the weight card will be disqualified. Classes will be determined after weight cards are turned in. 3. Registration Verification. Upon arrival, exhibitors must obtain animal information cards from Superintendent’s Office. Exhibitors are responsible for filling out cards and presenting them to Superintendent with the Registration Paper for each registered entry from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, January 24 and 9 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, January 25. 4. Number of Entries. An exhibitor may enter and drive into the ring for exhibition and judging two (2) entries in any single class. 5. Eligibility of Animals. See Rule 29, Page 23. 6. Feeding Equipment. Exhibitors must furnish their own feeding equipment. 7. Artificial Coloring. Entries that are artificially colored with a paste, powder, paint, oil or other dressing will be barred from showing. Only water may be used. 8. No straw will be allowed in the Swine Barn. 9. Showmanship Entries. Entries in the Showmanship class are not required. However, animals exhibited in the Showmanship class must also be entered in the Open Swine Show. BREEDING SWINE SHOW CLASSIFICATIONS PREMIUM SCHEDULE 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th A: $60 $50 $40 $30 $17 B: $100 and Banner C: $50 and Banner D: Rosette Rosette Rosette R: Rosette SPECIAL AWARDS: • Creative Awards, Fredericksburg, Texas will present a banner to the Supreme Champion Boar winner. • Roland and Cindy Johnson, Aledo, Texas will present a belt buckle to the Supreme Champion Gilt winner. • Jason and Stephanie Ownbey, Whitney, Texas will present a belt buckle to the Reserve Supreme Champion Gilt winner. • In Memory of Vickie Rosenbusch, Glen Rose, Texas, a belt buckle will be presented to the Showmanship winner (Exhibitors 11 years and younger). • Cole and Melissa Reeves, Hico, Texas will present a belt buckle to the Showmanship winner (Exhibitors 12-14 years old). • Ronald and Becky Rawdon, Godley, Texas will present a belt buckle to the Showmanship winner (Exhibitors 15-19 years old). • Dr. David Frazier, Stephenville, Texas will present a belt buckle to the Commercial Crossbred Champion Gilt winner.
