SPECIAL RULES 1. Read General Rules and Regulations. All entries and awards in this department will be subject to the General Rules and Regulations published in this Premium List and the following Special Rules. 2. Classes. With each standard variety of poultry, including bantams, there will be separate classes for cock, hen, cockerel and pullet. 3. Terms. The terms are defined as follows:

Cock or Hen------------------------------------A bird hatched prior to 2023. Cockerel or Pullet-----------------------------A bird hatched in 2023.

4. Entries. Entries must state the variety, number of specimens, name of exhibitor, band numbers if available, telephone number, exhibitor’s signature and all other necessary information required. Open Show is open to Texas resident exhibitors. Youth Show is open to Texas resident Youth exhibitors, 18 and under as of January 1, 2024. USE SEPARATE ENTRY APPLICATIONS FOR YOUTH AND OPEN ENTRIES AND SEPARATE ENTRY APPLICATIONS FOR BANTAMS AND STANDARDS. 5. Eligibility for Competition. Exhibits may compete only in classes in which they are entered. 6. Substitutions. Only substitutions of the same breed and variety will be accepted. 7. Judging. The American Standard of Perfection and the A.B.A. Bantam Standard shall be the guide of the judges in awarding premiums on a comparative basis. 8. Coops. The right to double coop females of the same variety owned by one (1) exhibitor is reserved by the Management.
