SPECIAL RULES 1. Animals must be registered Brangus or Red Brangus with the International Brangus Breeders Association (IBBA). The registration certificate (or photocopy) for each entry must be available for presentation to the Superintendent or Show Manager at the time entry is verified prior to judging. 2. NEW-Entry Verification. Exhibitors will be responsible for obtaining and verifying their show number/entry to Superintendents at the Corral Room (in the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall Building) from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday, January 13 and 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, January 14. 3. Prior to check-in, heads of breeding animals must be clipped of all hair (including topknots) and be free of scurs and/ or slick spots. 4. All bulls eighteen (18) months of age or older that are exhibited must have passed a fertility examination given by a non-owner licensed veterinarian or a non-owner certified technician to the standard of the Society of Theriology to be eligible to show. The results of the examination must be available at check-in. Once a bull has a positive examination, retesting is not required. All bulls 251 days of age and older must be shown with a nose ring or nose restraint with lead attached. 5. All females twenty (20) months of age or older must have available at the time of check-in, a certificate of pregnancy issued by an accredited, non-owner veterinarian, non-owner certified professional or blood test results certificate. If a blood test results certificate is provided, it must be blood collected by a non-owner veterinarian or non-owner certified professional, and documented. If the female is open due to being in an embryo transfer program, a certified copy of the flush record showing viable embryos produced by the said female must be presented at check-in, by a non-owner embryologist. If verification cannot be produced, the female will be allowed to participate if the exhibitor can produce a qualified veterinarian to examine the female at the show site and verify pregnancy. Females showing in the Senior Heifer Division of Spring Shows (January 1-May 31) must adhere to the classifications and have a natural calf, not older than 250 days of age on show date. 6. Animals eligible to be shown in group classes must be entered and shown in respective individual classes. Cows exhibited in the cow/calf classes are not eligible for the group classes.
