14. Championship Classes. Only animals receiving a first premium award in their individual classes will be eligible for championship awards. 15. Scramble Heifers. Scramble Heifers will show in their respective class in each breed. 16. Junior Dairy Herd. The group is to consist of five (5) animals of the same breed, be owned by three (3) or more 4-H Club members from one (1) county or by three (3) or more FFA members from one (1) chapter, and all must have been shown in individual classes. Entries must be made by the County Extension Agent or Agricultural Science Teacher at the same time single class entries are made. No county 4-H Club and no FFA Chapter may have more than one (1) entry of the same breed in this class. Entries in Junior Dairy Herd must be made by entry closing deadline. 17. Fitting and Showmanship. Each junior exhibiting an animal fitted and trained by him/her in an individual class is eligible for this contest, but may compete in only one (1) Showmanship class. Final placing will be made by the official judge of the Junior Dairy Cattle Show in each of the breeds shown. Entries in the Showmanship class are not required. However, animals exhibited in the Showmanship class must also be entered in the Junior Dairy Cattle Show. The Uniform Scoreboard for Judging Junior Fitting and Showmanship Contests as published by the Purebred Dairy Cattle Association will be used by the judge as the basis for their decision.

SPECIAL AWARDS: • The Holstein Foundation will award ribbons for the first five places in each Holstein class and ribbons to the Champion Holstein and Reserve Champion Holstein. • The Texas Holstein Association will award plaques to the exhibitors of the Champion Holstein Heifer and Champion Holstein Cow. A plaque will be awarded to the top exhibitor who does the best job of fitting and showing his or her animal in the Junior and Senior Holstein Fitting and Showmanship classes. • Awards to the first place winner in each Brown Swiss class will be presented by the following: COBA Select Sires, Columbus, Ohio Dairy Farmers of America, Grapevine, Texas Dairy Max, United States of America Hopkins County Vet Clinic, Sulphur Springs, Texas Ivesco - Jackie Bell, Clarendon, Texas Lacy Vet Clinic, Vernon, Texas McGregor General Store - Purina Feeds, McGregor, Texas Southwest Dairy Museum, Inc., Sulphur Springs, Texas Tackle Farms Bovine Hoof Trimming, Garland, Texas Tractor Supply Company, Vernon, Texas • The Texas Brown Swiss Association will award a Swiss cow bell to the winner of the Junior and Senior Brown Swiss Fitting and Showmanship classes.
