SPECIAL RULES 1. This competition is held under the direct supervision of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show and is approved by the American Quarter Horse Association. This will be a triple judged/triple point show, judged concurrently by three (3) judges. This show is also a Texas Quarter Horse Association “Horse Show Series” approved show. 2. Eligibility. All horses must be registered with the American Quarter Horse Association. All horses will be shown and judged in accordance with the rules of the American Quarter Horse Association. A PHOTOCOPY OF EACH HORSE’S REGISTRATION PAPERS (FRONT AND BACK) MUST ACCOMPANY EACH ENTRY. Note: Entries submitted without these papers will not be accepted and will be returned to the exhibitor. This applies to all divisions of the Quarter Horse Show. Entry applications must be filled out completely. Horses must be entered and shown under the name of the owner as recorded with the American Quarter Horse Association at the time of entry. For change of ownership, see Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 9, Page 25. Any horse entered in an approved AQHA show must be listed under its complete registered name and number, or its Appendix name with the designation of Appendix following its name. 3. Membership. Exhibitors in the Quarter Horse Show must present the following current membership items at the Horse Show Office before receiving their packet and exhibitor number. 4. Show Fee. A $65 show fee is required for each horse entered. Late entries must pay a show fee of $100. No entries accepted after December 30. Entries must be submitted on entry applications obtained from the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show, from our website fwssr.com or submitted online by clicking here or at fwssr.com. 5. Stall Fee. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 4, Page 23. 6. Substitutions – Added Classes. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 9 and 10, Page 25. 7. For class schedules, see daily program beginning on Page 8. 8. Arrival and Release. Quarter Horses may arrive on show grounds as indicated below. Ranch Riding-------------------------------------------------------------Wednesday, January 10 Quarter Horse Working Cow Horse-----------------------------------Saturday, January 13 Quarter Horse Reining--------------------------------------------------Monday, January 15 Quarter Horse Team Roping and Tie-down Roping--------------Sunday, January 21 Quarter Horse Barrel Racing and Pole Bending------------------Sunday, January 28 Quarter Horse Halter and other Performance---------------------Wednesday, January 31 No animal will be allowed on show grounds without proper receipt of entry. Horses will be released after completion of judging. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 26, Page 27. OPEN CLASSES ---------------Exhibitor membership card. Owner membership card. AMATEUR CLASSES ---------Amateur membership card. Owner membership card. YOUTH CLASSES -------------Youth membership card. Owner membership card. Note: All exhibitor memberships must be individual, no ranch or husband/wife acceptable.

9. Parking Permits. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 28, Page 28. 10. Grounds Passes. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 27, Page 27.

11. Reining Classes. AQHA Reining classes are held concurrently with NRHA classes (refer to Page 11). AQHA exhibitors may also enter NRHA or APHA classes. However, entries must be submitted on a separate entry application and received by November 15 entry deadline. Additional show fee of $65 and entry fees for NRHA or AQHA classes must accompany entries. Entries received after November 15 deadline will require a late show fee of $100.
