ATTENTION MINIATURE HORSE EXHIBITORS Tack changes, if permitted are limited to 2 minutes. Tack changes will be permitted if class, horse, exhibitors are back to back. Show management must be notified of the need for a tack change at least 3 classes in advance of the hold.

Per AMHA Rule CL-010.C, Horses may be shown clipped or in full coat. All performance classes at the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show are recommended “no clip” classes.

JANUARY 15, 2024 $40,000 in Scholarships awarded in the Senior Division. Buckles and special awards presented in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Divisions. Limited to the first 125 entries. Open to all students ages 8-18, as of January 1, 2024 (3 age divisions), currently enrolled and attending public, private or homeschool elementary or secondary schools in the state of Texas. CONTEST

JANUARY 14, 2024 $40,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS!

The Equine Public Speaking Challenge is open to all students between the ages of 14-18, as of January 1, 2024, who are enrolled and are attending public, private or homeschool elementary or secondary schools in Texas.

Scholarships will range from $4,000 to $12,000, ribbons will be presented to the top five placing contestants and 1st place will receive a champion buckle. The contest will be limited to the first 60 applicants. For complete details and entry application, click here.
