(SEE HORSE SHOW GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS, PAGE 23) ENTRIES CLOSE NOVEMBER 15 9. Green Classes: Classes 4, 13, 109 and 125 for Donkeys, all classes Walk/Trot only; Classes 8, 17, 113 and 129 for Mules; Classes 24, 29, 34, 51, 66 and 99 for NMDA Miniature Donkeys. Green Animal refers to an animal of any age, but there is a limit of two (2) years for an animal to be shown under saddle/harness in these classes. These classes are for adult riders/handlers on Green Animals. (See Rule Book for detailed information.) Continued... SPECIAL RULES 1. This competition is held under the direct supervision of the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show and is sanctioned by the Southwestern Donkey and Mule Society and the National Miniature Donkey Association. 2. Donkeys and Mules will be shown and judged in accordance with the rules of “The Texas Rule Book, effective January 1, 2024.” Dress code will be enforced. All accumulated points will count toward “Yearly Points Earned” if membership dues have been paid prior to the Show. NMDA Classes are governed by NMDA rules. 3. Show Fee. A $65 show fee is required for each animal entered. Late entries must pay a show fee of $100. No entries accepted after December 30. Entries must be submitted on entry applications obtained from the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show, from our website fwssr.com or submitted online by clicking here or at fwssr.com. Entry Fee. $20 per class for Halter and Performance Classes. Youth classes NO CHARGE. ($12.50 from each entry will be paid by Stock Show to the Southwestern Donkey and Mule Society.) 4. Stall Fee. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 4, Page 23. 5. Substitutions – Added Classes. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 9 and 10, Page 25. 6. Arrival and Release. Donkeys and Mules may arrive on show grounds Friday, January 19. No animal will be allowed on the show grounds without proper receipt of entry. Donkeys and Mules will be released after completion of judging. Refer to Horse Show General Rules and Regulations 26, Page 27. 7. Judging Schedule. Donkey and Mule Halter and Performance classes will be called in numerical order as listed for this division. Judging begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 20 and 9 a.m. on Sunday, January 21 in the Justin Arena. (Classes to be shown in order as listed on Pages 38-41.) 8. Youth Classes. Classes 7, 16, 37, 41, 112 and 128 for Donkeys; Classes 11, 20, 39, 43, 116 and 132 for Mules; Classes 25, 30, 35, 53, 67, 101 and 106 for NMDA Miniature Donkeys; Classes 23, 28, 33, 52, 64, 100 and 105 for Miniature Mules. Youth exhibitors may show in Youth exhibitor classes and any Halter classes, including mixed gender classes where adults are showing Jacks. Youth 18 years and younger as of January 1, 2024.
